Construction work at Sub Base Platypus, North Sydney is scheduled to cease on Saturday, 22 December and resume on Friday, 7 January.
The work, which commenced on Wednesday, 19 September, is currently in the demolition phase. The Harbour Trust anticipates the heavy jack hammering (demolition with an excavator) will be finished by Christmas, pending weather conditions and contractor progress.
General construction noise, including demolition works, will occur throughout the project, which is anticipated to conclude in August 2019.
The hours of work for the project are as follows:
- Between 7 am and 5 pm, Mondays to Fridays inclusive;
- Between 8 am and 1 pm, Saturday;
- No works on Sundays and public holidays; and
- No hammering or saw cutting before 7.30 am Monday to Friday or before 8.30 am on Saturday.
Please note: Sub Base Platypus will be closed to the public at 12 noon on 31 December and will re-open at 7 am on 1 January.
