Building 10
Fleet Workshops

The Fleet Workshops will be split into two sections, North and South, separated by a landscaped courtyard. In addition to offering open space, the courtyard will boost the visual amenity of the site and provide pedestrians with access between the street and harbourside waterfront.

North section: The Fleet Workshops North offers unique waterfront office spaces for creative and innovative businesses seeking a distinctive and cutting-edge working environment directly on Sydney Harbour. Office tenants will be provided with a serviced warm shell ready for fitout and occupation, subject to Harbour Trust Planning Approval.

South section: The Fleet Workshops South will open out onto the new Arrival Square. This is a prime location for a cafe or restaurant and could incorporate waterfront outdoor seating with harbour views. An incoming tenant has a clean slate opportunity (subject to Planning Approval) to create an iconic cafe and restaurant destination. Food and beverage tenants will be provided with a serviced cool shell ready for fitout and occupation, subject to Harbour Trust Planning Approval.

Easy access to public transport: Sub Base Platypus is located 150m from North Sydney Ferry Wharf and 800m from Milsons Point Train Station.

Background: The diverse history of this site as Cammeraygal country, a gasworks, a naval torpedo facility, the HMAS Platypus submarine base, and now as an urban park, uniquely reflects the ongoing evolution and vitality of Sydney Harbour.

The first stage of the revitalised Sub Base Platypus site was officially opened to the public in May 2018. Stage one includes a waterside walk that connects the site with Kesterton Park and North Sydney Ferry Wharf and includes an overwater link, new submarine themed playground, BBQ and picnic area and access to the foreshore from Kiara close.

Building works across the site are now underway. New public spaces will be introduced, including an open courtyard. The revitalisation of Sub Base Platypus will open up the spaces of this former industrial site and integrate it with the neighbourhood.
